Potatoes are high on the glycemic index (GI) and so are often excluded from the diets of individuals trying to follow a low-GI diet.
The GI of potatoes can vary considerably depending on type red, russet, white, or King Edward. King Edward is a potato variety grown in the UK since 1902, making it one of the oldest varieties still grown.
Consuming reheated or cooled potatoes that were previously cooked may afford a lower GI effect.

According to the UK, potatoes are not considered by the NHS(National Health Service) as counting towards the recommended daily five portions of fruit and vegetables.

      1. That is a good idea and I didn’t know about that until you posted the video – pretty cheap way to clear your face of acne when you think how much money all the special preparations cost, and often don’t work!
